on each leaflet. The four H’s
stand for Head, Heart, Hands, and
Health.

Who
can join?
Any youth between
the ages of 9 (or in the third grade)
and 18 as of January 1 of the current
year may be a 4-H member.
When
can youth join?
Youth may join 4-H
any time, but to participate in
Franklin County 4-H Evaluations
at the Franklin County Fair and/or
the State Fair, youth must be enrolled
by April 1st of the current year.
Enrollment forms are distributed
and collected by club advisors.
How
much does it cost?
There is a cost of $16.00 for the
first 4-H member in a family and
$10.00 for each additional 4-H member
in that family. Membership fee is
payable to Ohio State University
Extension, Franklin County at the
time of enrollment. In addition
to this fee, most clubs elect to
charge dues ranging from $2-$25/year
for a variety of uses (i.e. club
t-shirts, meeting snacks, field
trips, etc.) All costs associated
with project completion (i.e. a
camera for a photography project,
lumber and tools for woodworking,
groceries for cooking) are the responsibility
of the parent or guardian.
